HVAC Technician III

ABM is hiring an experienced HVAC Technician III to support commercial clients across the DFW Metroplex. This is a field-based, commercial service role focused on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair of complex HVAC systems. Technicians are dispatched from home. Residential-only experience is not a fit for this role.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including RTUs and large packaged units
Perform preventive maintenance and service repairs for contracted customers
Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using industry-standard tools
Service large-tonnage equipment (100 plus tons preferred)
Document work performed and communicate clearly with customers
Follow all safety procedures, codes, and company standards
Qualifications

57 plus years of commercial HVAC service experience
Strong troubleshooting and PM/service background
EPA Universal Certification required
High school diploma or equivalent (technical/trade training preferred)
Solid electrical and mechanical knowledge
Preferred Experience

Large-tonnage equipment
Air-cooled chillers (any level)
Commercial or industrial refrigeration
Requirements

Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Ability to travel throughout the DFW area
Ability to lift equipment and perform physical job duties
Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and overtime as needed
Pre-employment background check, drug test, and MVR required
