For more information about Texas McCombs please visit:## PurposeThe Senior Academic Program Coordinator provides leadership, coordination, and assessment for donor-funded initiatives designed to enhance student persistence, academic success, and degree completion for McCombs Success Scholars (MSS). This position plays an important role in implementation of MSS initiatives and will collaborate closely with MSS staff, academic advisors, and campus partners to strengthen the academic success, engagement, and overall student experience of undergraduate business students.This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, three-year fixed-term position and continuation beyond this term is contingent on available funding and business need.## Responsibilities**Program Development and Implementation*** Coordinate planning and implementation of MSS initiatives funded through external gifts or institutional support.* Develop program logistics, schedules, and engagement strategies that support academic success, professional development, and community building.* Work collaboratively with MSS staff to ensure new initiatives integrate with existing programming and student support structures.* Serve as liaison with University Housing to support the MSS Living Learning Community, including coordination of programming and student engagement opportunities.* Support development of workshops, learning experiences, and community-building activities that strengthen students’ connection to McCombs and to the MSS cohort experience.**Academic Support Coordination and Student Success*** Coordinate supplemental academic support initiatives that complement classroom instruction and reinforce key concepts in selected BBA courses in partnership with the BBA Persistence Coordinator.* Collaborate with faculty and instructional teams to ensure supplemental academic resources align with course expectations and learning objectives.* Assist in organizing structured review sessions, academic workshops, and peer-led study opportunities designed to support student learning.* Work with graduate assistants and peer academic coaches who support course-related academic programming.* Meet with students participating in MSS initiatives to discuss academic progress, engagement opportunities, and available campus resources.* Collaborate with academic advisors, learning specialists, and other campus partners to promote student persistence and degree progress.* Connect students experiencing academic or personal challenges with appropriate university resources.**Donor Partnership, Program Oversight, and Assessment*** Support coordination of initiatives funded through the donor funded gift that enhance student persistence, academic success, and professional development for McCombs Success Scholars.* Assist with preparation of materials, updates, and program summaries for donor partnership meetings and program briefings.* Maintain documentation related to donor-supported programming and help ensure activities align with the goals of the gift agreement.* Track student participation and engagement in donor-funded initiatives and related program activities.* Assist in collecting and summarizing data related to program participation, student outcomes, and retention trends.* Develop and administer student surveys assessing sense of belonging, campus engagement, and perceptions of academic success.* Support preparation of annual program summaries highlighting student engagement, academic outcomes, and program impact associated with donor-funded initiatives.* Collaborate with MSS leadership to identify opportunities to strengthen program effectiveness and expand the impact of donor-funded initiatives.**Collaboration and Team Integration*** Participate in Advising and Student Success team meetings and cross-functional planning discussions within the BBA Program Office.* Collaborate with advising staff, persistence initiatives, International Program team, and BBA co-curricular programs to enhance the MSS student experience* Contribute to planning and execution of MSS events and engagement opportunities.* Assist with special projects and program initiatives that support the broader mission of the McCombs Success Scholars program.* Participate in university-wide and school-wide events (commencement, Gonet to Business)* Participate in professional development activities (Academic Counselors Association, etc.)Other related functions as assigned.## Required Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience working with college students, or a master’s degree with two years of relevant experience.* Experience coordinating programs or initiatives supporting college students.* Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.* Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills.* Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with all levels of constituents; students, employers, faculty and other staff members. Demonstrated professional demeanor.* Proven ability to take ownership of programs and innovate new ideas for continuous improvement.* Able to work independently and in teams with overlapping projects.* Solid proficiency with standard applications in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Suite.*Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.*## Preferred Qualifications* Experience supporting college-level first-generation or high-financial-need students.* Experience with program assessment, data collection, or program evaluation.* Familiarity with UT Austin systems, policies, or student support programs.## Salary* $57,500 annually## Working Conditions* This is a full-time fixed term position that has an initial employment period of three years. Continued employment beyond the initial term is contingent on funding and business need.* Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during peak periods and special events.* General office conditions with the majority of time spent in contact with students, faculty, and administrators during usual office hours.* Repetitive use of a keyboard.* Applicants must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
