Salary Range: $60,000.00 To $65,000.00 Annually

The

Peer Supervisor

is responsible for assisting the OES Supervisor with the provision of Offsite/Street Outreach services, supervision of assigned staff members, shared administrative duties including facilitating staff meetings, managing the Outreach and Engagement Services program, and managing peer services, with additional duties that will be assigned by the Director of Substance Use Services.

As part of the essential functions of this role, the

Peer Supervisor:

Assists in management and documentation review, with the Director of Substance Use Services, of the peer staff

Provides clinical and professional development of staff through weekly peer supervisions and staff meetings and maintains supervisory notes according to agency standards

Provides peer management of the Street Outreach Program including screening individuals for substance use and/or mental health service needs; works closely with Behavioral Health intake staff to manage placement of individuals seeking service, covers peer services in event of staff callouts, shortage, or client crisis

Qualified candidate will have a CRPA or NYCPS with three (3) years clinical experience and (2) years focused on substance use treatment services, with knowledge of harm reduction principles, substance use, and behavioral health concerns required; bilingual preferred; Associate degree in related field preferred; working knowledge utilizing electronic medical records software strongly preferred; awareness of and sensitivity to the issues and health disparities faced by underserved populations is essential.

Education / Certification and Experience

CRPA or NYCPS certification required

Completion of OASAS-approved Peer Supervision Course required

Three (3) years clinical experience and two (2) years focused in substance use treatment services required; knowledge of harm reduction principles, substance use, and behavioral health concerns required

Associate degree in related field preferred

This position is posted with a salary range. The actual rate of pay offered will be based on a variety of individualized factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s skills, relevant experience, educational background, internal equity, and market considerations.
