Overview
Job Title: Human Resources Specialist

Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Human Resource Manager, the Human Resource Specialist is responsible for onboarding/orientation and assisting with recruitment. Other duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
Initiate new hire process for salaried and non‑bargaining hourly positions and monitor progress of pre‑employment paperwork and processes. This includes but is not limited to:
Background Screening
Preemployment Drug Screening
Onboarding paperwork tracking
Own and facilitate weekly Orientation for all new hires/rehires (English and Spanish)
I9 Verification
Assist in Fleet Compliance
Assist current Recruiter and HR Manager with creating, maintaining job posting.
Review applications and resumes, coordinate efforts with hiring managers, pre‑screen and interview candidates.
Maintain data integrity in current HRIS system, Dynamics 365
Assist current employees with questions and concerns as needed
Process all VOE requests
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Proven work experience as an HR Administrator, HR Administrative Assistant, HR Generalist or relevant role preferred.
Experience with HRIS software (Dynamics 365 a huge plus)
Computer literacy (MS Office Applications)
Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills (English and Spanish)
Must maintain insurable driving record
