TELECOMMUNICATIONS CABLING TECHNICIAN SCHEDULE
As a Telecommunications Cabling Technician, you will work full-time with extended hours or weekends as project needs demand. Flexibility is important, as regional and national travel to job sites will sometimes be required.
YOUR DAY
As a Telecommunications Cabling Technician, you will install, terminate, label, and test copper and fiber optic cabling systems—making sure every project meets the highest industry standards and CKC's own expectations. You will interpret blueprints and schematics, and you will be responsible for documenting your work, recording test results, and maintaining as-built drawings. Troubleshooting and resolving connectivity issues will be part of your routine, as will traveling to job sites across the region or even the country. You will take pride in keeping your work environment clean, organized, and safe, and you will always represent CKC Data Solutions with professionalism. Whether you are on a ladder in a data center or reviewing project specifications, your day will be fast‑paced, hands‑on, and rewarding.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Experience in telecommunications cabling installation
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Strong understanding of structured cabling systems and installation practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Self-motivation, strong work ethic, and commitment to completing projects
Willingness to learn, adapt, and follow CKC processes and standards
Ability to travel as needed
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders, lifts, and in varied environments
Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as project demands require
FOA (Fiber Optic Association) certification or BICSI certification (Installer or Technician) is preferred but not required.
