We are looking for a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to support our National Security customers. This is not a sales role, but a strategic technical advisor and voice of the customer. The TAM helps craft and execute strategies to drive adoption of AWS services, provides advocacy and strategic technical guidance, and keeps customer environments operationally healthy. This position requires 10% travel.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategies for customer adoption of AWS services such as EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, SageMaker, ECS/EKS, GuardDuty, Systems Manager, CodePipeline, and IoT.

Represent AWS within the customer environment and lead discussions with senior leadership on incidents, trade‑offs, support, and risk management.

Advocate for best practices and proactively maintain the operational health of customer AWS environments.

Build strong relationships to understand business and technical challenges and help customers achieve maximum value from AWS.

Basic Qualifications

Current, active TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent, or 2+ years of technical work experience.

2+ years of technical engineering experience.

Experience in information technology operations.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in an internal or external customer‑facing environment as a technical lead.

5+ years of communicating with and presenting to executive and senior audiences.

Experience with development in a distributed systems environment.

Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment.

Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings.

Experience recognizing a challenge and collaborating with teams and data sources to diagnose problems and recommend solutions.

Understanding of the AWS Well‑Architected Framework pillars and ability to apply them to existing or new customer architecture.
