About the Role
:
Provide hydraulics engineering, mechanical engineering, and project management discipline to support plant operations and manufacturing.
Qualifications (R) Required and (P) Preferred:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology (R)
Experience:
3-5 Years industrial environment (R); 3-5 years equipment hydraulics (R); 5+ Years (P)
Areas of Knowledge:
Industrial Hydraulics (R), Machine elements (R), Power Transmission (R), Pumps / Piping (R), CAD Drafting (R)
Skills:
Project Management (P), Equipment Trouble Shooting (R), Technical Writing (R), Computer Operation (R), Communication (R), Print Reading (R)
Global Accountabilities for the Role :
Plan and monitor the safe implementation of all assigned projects, utilizing internal and external resources, ensure compliance with OSHA Regulations and Plant Safety Policies
Incorporate product quality improvements into project specifications, design, or redesign
Incorporate Local, State and Federal environmental regulations into project design, redesign, or facility maintenance
Support Manufacturing in implementing modifications to improve productivity
Coordinate all projects with Purchasing to negotiate maximum value at minimum cost
Provide technical support for Maintenance Department, assist when required
Specific Accountabilities for the Role :
Project management, including supervision, tracking, accounting, and auditing
Prepare Authorization for Expenditure for Capital projects
Develop work scope, engineering specifications, and scheduling for multiple projects
Design or redesign machine elements, pneumatic and / or hydraulic controls, equipment foundations and power transmission
Requires a strong background and understanding of hydraulics to engineer various repairs or modifications to equipment
Maintain drawings manually and on CAD system
