JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Build and implement core cloud solutions from the ground up across Azure and OCI. This is a hands‑on engineering role focused on standing up a new cloud landing zone, scaling automation, and delivering reliable, secure, and cost‑efficient platforms. You will partner with architecture, security, and vendors to execute designs and bring them to production with strong engineering discipline. This role directly supports reliable, scalable infrastructure for critical services across the business.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and build a new cloud landing zone using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Implement networking, identity, security controls, and environment structure.
Standardize reusable IaC modules and patterns.
Build and deploy core cloud services and shared platform components.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Translate architecture into production‑ready solutions.
Engineer for high availability, performance, and scalability.
Implement and test DR capabilities aligned to RTO/RPO targets.
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting from day one.
Improve MTTR through automation and operational tooling.
Support incident response and root cause analysis.
Build API‑driven automation and workflows.
Support rollout of AI‑driven solutions and integrations.
Leverage LLMs and automation to improve operations and business capabilities.
Partner with Microsoft, Oracle, and service providers.
Support cost optimization and usage visibility.
Escalate and track vendor issues.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
In lieu of a degree, 4 years of experience in addition to the standard experience listed below is required.
Minimum experience required of the position
5+ years cloud engineering or infrastructure experience
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities preferred of the position
Familiarity with Azure and/or OCI
Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform, Bicep, or similar)
CI/CD pipelines and automation
Networking, security fundamentals, Windows & Linux
Scripting (PowerShell, APIs)
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving
Operational discipline and attention to detail
Clear communication across technical teams
Preferred : ITIL v4 familiarity
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
Preferred : Azure certifications or OCI equivalent
Physical Requirements
Able to operate personal computer, either desktop or laptop.
Able to sit for extended periods of time.
Able to operate copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone and other miscellaneous office equipment.
Able to exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push or otherwise move objects.
