HR Generalist
SCR Medical Transportation LLC is a people-first organization where our core values guide how we lead, work, and support one another. We are seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to support our Chicago-based operations. This in-person role partners closely with employees and leaders to provide day-to-day HR support, with a focus on employee relations, benefits, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a primary HR contact for employees and managers
Process and maintain leave of absence administration
Handle employee relations matters, including investigations and performance support
Support benefits administration and respond to employee benefit questions
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
Support onboarding, employee communications, and engagement initiatives
Qualifications:
3+ years of HR Generalist experience
Strong knowledge of employee relations, benefits, and HR compliance
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
HRIS and ATS experience required (Workday a plus)
Union experience preferred, not required
Work Environment:
In-person role based in Chicago, IL, monthly travel to Batavia, IL

It's the goal of SCR to provide reliable, safe, clean and comfortable transportation to this group of individuals. This type of transportation is essential for connecting passengers to friends, family and medical based services. As a result, we select drivers and staff that wish to help people care for themselves. Our Paratransit Operator's understand how to effectively and safely transport clients and we are looking for the right people to join our team.
