Wage And Hour Compliance Specialist

Reporting to the Wage and Hour MOS, the Wage and Hour Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring adherence to FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), Per Diem, Prevailing Wage and other wage related guidelines and regulations. The Wage and Hour Compliance Specialist is proficient in the review and analysis of consultant employment documentation to ensure proper payment and classification of employees. The Wage and Hour Compliance Specialist is also responsible for performing structured, as well as ad hoc, reporting and auditing of consultant employment classification records.
Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility is the review of primary job duties and professional skills (based on a resume) of employees to ensure adherence to FLSA regulations and guidelines as dictated by the Department of Labor
Secondary responsibility is to ensure adherence to Minimum Wage, Per Diem and Prevailing Wage regulations and guidelines as dictated by the Department of Labor
Performance of internal audits and development and implementation of processes to ensure proper pay practices
Research, update, and maintain Wage and Hour policy and process documentation, as well as internal training and education materials
Provide the highest level of customer service to our Field Support, Recruiting, and Sales Teams, as well as corporate leadership
Ad-Hoc reporting and other requests as needed by internal and external customers
Qualifications

Required Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business/finance/accounting preferred or relevant work experience
Requisite Abilities and/or Skills:
Must possess ability to exercise independent judgment and decision making skills
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a team environment
Strong communication and customer service skills
Must be organized and detail oriented
Ability to function in an open environment
Working knowledge of MS Office including MS Excel and MS Word
Compensation: $52,000 - $65,000 +$1,000 quarterly bonus based on performance
