Key Job Responsibilities
Develop AI solutions for various Prime Video Search systems using deep learning, GenAI, reinforcement learning and optimization methods.
Understand problem space, identify gaps and opportunities for improvement, create roadmap and plans for delivering business goals.
Lead cross‑team collaboration and work closely with engineers and product managers to deliver AI solutions end‑to‑end.
Design and conduct offline and online (A/B) experiments to evaluate proposed solutions based on in‑depth data analyses.
Effectively communicate technical and non‑technical ideas with teammates and stakeholders.
Stay up‑to‑date with advancements and the latest modeling techniques in the field.
Mentor and grow junior engineers and interns.
About the Team: Prime Video Personalization and Discovery science team owns different aspects of personalization algorithms, from user‑item relevance, item‑item relevance and page composition, to name a few. We work closely with the engineering teams to put our models in production.
Basic Qualifications
2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability and scaling).
1+ year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
1+ year of designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, multi‑threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java or Perl.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
1+ year of Object‑Oriented Design experience.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
