Job Description
We have seasonal opportunities for occupational therapist, physical therapist, and speech and language specialist positions for the summer of 2026. Staff will work from July 2, 2026, with duties spanning July 6 through August 7, 2026. Valid NJ Department of Education certification and NJ licensure are required, along with experience working with students of disabilities. SEMI logging experience is required for all therapists.
Occupational Therapist
Valid New Jersey School Occupational Therapy Certificate and appropriate licenses
Knowledge of current occupational therapy practices and techniques
Ability to set up equipment, lift, transfer, and position students
Ability to work well with students, the school community, and the public with excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
SEMI logging experience required
Physical Therapist
Valid New Jersey School Physical Therapy Certificate and appropriate licenses
Knowledge of current physical therapy practices and techniques
Ability to set up equipment, lift, transfer, and position students
Ability to work well with students, the school community, and the public with excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
SEMI logging experience required
Speech and Language Specialist
Valid New Jersey Speech and Language Specialist certification
Highly developed skills in: assessment of student speech needs, preparation of written reports, communication with students and parents, developing and implementing services to promote adjustment and effective learning
Ability to maintain confidentiality
SEMI logging experience required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee must demonstrate physical strength, agility, and energy to perform essential job functions, including sitting, standing, reaching, walking, lifting, bending, crouching, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, finger dexterity, carrying, repetitive motions, speaking, listening, and visual acuity. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
