Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Exciting opportunities are available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist interested in working in an engaging educational environment near Clifton, NJ. This contract position supports students during the Extended School Year (ESY) program in Haskell, NJ, from June 29 through July 30, with the possibility to continue on a maternity leave assignment from September 8 through October 20. During the ESY term, the schedule runs Monday through Thursday, 8:30am–12:30pm, working with a caseload of approximately 25 students ranging from ages 3–8. The majority of students are preschoolers, including those in self-contained classrooms with multiple disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, or preschool special education needs. The following school-year assignment spans standard school hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00am–3:00pm. Key Qualifications:Master’s degree in Speech-Language PathologyActive ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for CFY supervisionState licensure (or eligibility) in Speech-Language PathologyExperience in pediatric and school-based settings preferredFamiliarity with diverse populations including ASD, multiple disabilities, and preschoolersExcellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills Primary Responsibilities:Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students ages 3–8Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goalsCollaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to support student growthComplete comprehensive evaluations and maintain accurate recordsParticipate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions If you are driven to make a meaningful impact in students’ lives and thrive in dynamic school settings, this role offers a rewarding experience with consistent daytime hours and the chance to serve a vibrant community.
