Responsibilities
Ensures the best quality service experience for all residents, patients, staff and visitors who participate in the Stella Maris dining program. Oversees daily front-of-house and as assigned back-of-house operations, ensuring high-quality food service, order accuracy, sanitation compliance, and customer satisfaction. Supports all department initiatives for the greater good of Stella Maris’ operation to include meal delivery service to long term care and rehab, catering events and the café.

Works with dining management team and partners with human resources to establish appropriate staffing matrix for the front of house dining services workers in long-term care and in rehab. Work to recruit, on-board, train and retain staff and builds team camroderie in the spirit of the mission and values.

Oversees the completion of standardized schedules and ensures labor budgets are adhered to and on plan.

Partners with Dining Management to ensure all catering events are executed without issue and the clients are happy with the meal, service and set-up.

Oversees the Dining Services Supervisors and leads and fosters a meaningful mentorship ensuring bench strength is a high priority for the entire front of the house dining services team.

Oversees the opening and closing check list process for all kitchens and pantries on the neighborhoods ensuring they are supplies, neat and organized, cleaned and refrigeration temp logs are updated and all equipment is in proper working order.

Ensures all labor and dining suppleis are on plan and meeting stated fiscal year budgets.

Participates on any and all relevant community meetings as assisigned including long term care operations, risk and safety management, etc.

Provides effective supervision, guidance, and training for assigned employees; discusses performance with each employee on a regular basis, at least quarterly. Monitors performance in light of Stella Maris mission and core values and completes evaluations on time.

Partners with the clinical dietician to maintain awareness and education on resident and patient diets and ensures all allergins and preferences are adhered to on the ticket from an order accuracy standpoint.

Ensures that food delivery carts leave the kitchen and arrive at the designated dining rooms according to schedule. Ensures all carts are clean, maintained and in proper working condition as well.

Conducts visits to dining rooms and rounds with frequency to ensure dining services staff are adhering to approrpaite customer services standards, audits opening and closing dining operational checklists, reviews temperature logs, conducts periodic audits of all food being delivered and checks for badge and uniform compliance.

Requirements

Sanitation Certification

Minimum of 3 years of experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Compensation
USD $28.45/Hr. – USD $42.65/Hr.
