Summary
Lidl US is searching for the next Senior Analyst, People Analytics to join our HR team! The Sr. Analyst is responsible for providing high-level metrics and deep-dive strategic analysis for the Human Resources department. This role serves as a strategic partner by determining appropriate design and modeling criteria for information sourced from HR systems. The Sr. Analyst will collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficiency across systems and communications, taking ownership of company-wide personnel processes, performance indicators, and cost forecasting through a lens of proactive curiosity and technical innovation.

What You’ll Do
Essential Functions

People Analytics: Define KPIs, run complex analyses, and utilize data storytelling to translate metrics into actionable business insights for leadership.

Org Design: Advise on organizational structure and efficiency; maintain and audit job descriptions to ensure alignment with business growth and scalability.

HR Planning: Lead the annual Personnel Planning process through modeling and in-depth analysis; monitor personnel costs and ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.

Analytical Proactivity: Act as a problem-solver rather than a processor; independently identify trends within datasets without being explicitly asked.

Technical Ecosystem Management: Build and maintain data solutions primarily within the Google Workspace environment, ensuring seamless data flow between SAP, ADP, and SuccessFactors.

Process Improvement: Manage projects and work processes to ensure efficient workflow; identify and propose opportunities for business process optimization.

System Stewardship: Serve as the subject matter expert on how information is logged and tracked; partner with controlling and data administration teams to ensure data integrity.

Documentation: Create training documents and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for stakeholders regarding cross-departmental data projects.

What You’ll Need
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

The 'Curiosity' Factor: Exceptional analytical skills with a natural inclination to investigate the 'why' behind the numbers.

Technical Agility (Microsoft to Google): While proficient in Excel and Power BI, you must be able to transition to a Google-centric environment.

Google Environment Mastery: Specific experience using Google Sheets (Query functions), AppSheet, and Looker Studio to build automated data solutions.

Legacy Systems: Experience with SAP Query and familiarity with SuccessFactors or ADP.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills; ability to present complex data findings to non-technical audiences.

Compliance: Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.

Required Education & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: 2–4 years of experience across the Three Pillars (People Analytics, Org Design, and HR Planning).

Equivalency: In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in a related field will meet requirements.

Preferred Education, Certifications/ Licences, Related Experience

German language skills

Physical Job Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Travel Requirements

This position requires overnight domestic travel less than 25% of the time

Anticipated travel will be by car, air, and/or train
