Responsibilities

Duties may include representation of indigent clients in one or more of the following courts: Common Pleas Court (criminal cases); Municipal Court (criminal and traffic cases); Juvenile Court (delinquency proceedings); and/or Domestic Relations Court (contempt hearings). Qualified applicants must be prepared to take on a significant caseload with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Required licenses and/or certificates: Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio and in good standing or sat for the most recent Ohio bar exam. If not currently licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio, passing the most recent Ohio bar exam will be a condition of continued employment. A current, valid driver license and safe, reliable personal vehicle available for county business use, and vehicle insurance that meets or exceeds the statutory minimum for the State of Ohio is also required.* 2026 law school graduates taking the 2026 bar exam are encouraged to apply
