Scope, prototype, and refine new offerings that leverage StreetLight’s proprietary metrics alongside external data in collaboration with a cross-functional internal team
Guide customers in the appropriate use of StreetLight’s most complex custom products and services, including scope definition and interpretation of results for both technical and non-technical audiences
Develop and maintain a deep and up-to-date knowledge of StreetLight’s Big Data capabilities and use cases

8+ years of experience in a technical data-focused role in transportation, working with major transportation agencies, planning organizations, or consulting firms
Deep familiarity with how public agencies use household travel surveys, passive mobility data, and other data sources, including a working understanding of their respective strengths, inferential limitations, and complementary potential
Strong data analysis skills, knowing what is and is not possible, and ability to visualize data in the best way possible for technical and non-technical audiences
Comfort operating at the boundary between methodological rigor and practical delivery, able to clearly communicate tradeoffs and provide solid advice
Experience managing complex technical projects including communicating with demanding customers and technical team members
Excellent communication skills – written, visual (presentations), and verbal
Strong geo‑spatial skills and experience using ArcGIS/QGIS is required
Ability to mentor and coach team members, promoting professional growth, knowledge sharing, and high standards of execution
Preferred

5+ years' experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and SQL, including strong understanding of concepts
Basic understanding of techniques in data science (machine learning algorithms, forecasting, regression analysis, data visualization, API calls, etc.)
Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about. Your health. Your well‑being. Your security. Your future. Employees have access to medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discount. Eligible employees may also enroll in a deferred compensation plan or the Executive Deferral Plan. And certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock.
The base salary range for this position is $165,000.00 to $185,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
