J5 Supervisor

is full‑time and permanent.

Your Role
The responsibilities of this job include all production‑related activities on shift for The J5 Paper Machine Department, addressing safety, environmental, and quality issues. The supervisor directs hourly operators, a shift E & I Mechanic, and a shift Mechanical Mechanic. They assist the J5 Paper Machine Assistant Superintendent with operator training and report directly to the J5 Paper Machine Superintendent. The role ensures the department runs in accordance with goals in safety, environmental stewardship, housekeeping, cost containment, organizational development, reliability, quality, and legal compliance through effective supervision and leadership.

Qualifications

Four or more years of industrial experience with knowledge of manufacturing and troubleshooting quality and availability issues.

Exceptional oral and written communication skills and superior leadership and supervisory skills.

Willingness to work overtime and off‑schedule hours as needed.

Minimum high school or equivalent education.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.

Previous supervisory experience involving paper machine operations.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and similar personal computer programs.

Desire to advance beyond this level of management.
