Production Planner
As a Production Planner for Medical Products, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely and efficient availability of materials to meet patient and healthcare provider needs. You will be responsible for developing and implementing production plans, managing inventory levels, and overseeing production planning and kitting activities. Your role will involve coordinating with Production Supervisors and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and prioritize a high volume of work orders across a diverse range of machines.
Develop and maintain production plans to meet forecasted demand for medical products.
Releasing and printing work orders per the schedule and publishing schedule attainment.
Collaborate with the demand planning and buyers to integrate supply plans with overall business goals.
Monitor and manage inventory levels to balance supply and demand, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
Maintain inventory control by performing cycle counts per schedule and investigating variances.
Assist material handlers as necessary and directed by supervisor.
Oversee the stock levels of raw materials and components needed for production, ensuring timely escalation on shortages.
Coordinate with internal production and distribution to align production schedules with supply plans.
Identify and implement process improvements guided by continuous improvement principles.
Utilize data analysis to drive decision-making and optimize production schedules.
Provide regular updates and reports on daily management boards for KPIs.
Ensure effective distribution of products to various locations, managing conveyance of work order and tracking within the shop floor as necessary.
Ensure all supply chain and purchasing activities comply with relevant medical and industry regulations, including FDA and GMP requirements.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
Minimum Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present findings to management.
Detail-oriented mindset and eager to learn with a focus on accuracy and problem-solving.
