Senior Accounts Payable Manager
Our client, a growing technology company, is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Manager to lead and evolve the accounts payable function.
Location: San Francisco, CA. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, 2 days/week in the office.
Job Description
This role will own end-to-end AP operations while partnering closely with procurement, accounting, and internal stakeholders to improve processes, ensure accuracy, and support a scaling organization. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, process‑oriented, and brings a strong service mindset to a highly collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Own day-to-day accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, payment execution, and supplier support
Oversee supplier onboarding, maintenance, and issue resolution
Partner with procurement and internal teams to support purchase order processes and policy adoption
Manage and reconcile AP activity, ensuring alignment between the subledger and the general ledger
Support the month‑end close activities related to accounts payable
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within AP workflows
Manage and develop AP team members and shared service resources
Support compliance activities, including annual vendor reporting
Requirements
8+ years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting operations
Prior experience leading or managing AP teams
Strong understanding of procure‑to‑pay processes and internal controls
Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and operational efficiency
Detail‑oriented with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
