Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.**Licensure**:

Current Georgia or multi-state license as a Registered Nurse

American Heart Association BLS CPR required.

Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage in accordance with Hamilton Health Care System Driver Requirements policy.**Experience:** 1 year experience as a registered nurse in a clinical care setting or public health preferred.**Skills:** Nursing skills as defined in the Law Governing the Practice of Nursing in Georgia.

Requires interpersonal skills and ability to learn supervisory skills.

Knowledge of the professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care.

Knowledge of the organizational policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care.

Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.

Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.

Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care.

Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions.

Skill in preparing and maintaining records that meet state documentation requirements, writing reports, and responding to correspondence.

Skill in developing and maintaining department performance improvement.

Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.

Ability to maintain quality control standards.

Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.

Ability to communicate clearly.

Ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patients’ needs that are age appropriate.

Ability to select proper instrumentation/supplies appropriate for age group of patients served.

Demonstrates consistent ability to perform clinical skills necessary in the care and treatment of a variety of ages in patients, particularly focusing on primarily geriatric.

Ability to work independently in patients’ homes without direct supervision.
