The Role
We are seeking a Global Payroll Specialist to join our growing Finance & Accounting team at Thornton Tomasetti. As the Global Payroll Specialist, you will support the execution and administration of the company's domestic and international payroll operations and assist in the implementation of new global payroll software. This is an exciting opportunity for a payroll professional who wants not just hands-on experience in both U.S. and international payrolls, but also to assist in process improvements, enhance operational efficiencies, and help shape scalable payroll practices that support a dynamic, global organization. You will support the Global Payroll Manager and collaborate closely with HR, business leadership, and external vendors.
What You'll Do
Support the processing of monthly international payrolls with local administrators and ensure compliance and accurate reporting with local vendors.
Coordinate our Canada, UK, Italy, India, Vietnam, and Australia payrolls
Partner with HR to ensure accurate payroll and accruals for employee leaves of absence and support operational improvements.
Assist with the implementation of new global payroll software and partner with local payroll administrators and vendors to resolve issues, complete registrations, and ensure payroll accuracy.
Review and validate HRIS (Workday)-to-payroll integration files for employee updates and ensure all errors are resolved prior to payroll processing deadlines.
Assist in developing and maintaining documentation for domestic and international payroll processes.
Monitor compliance with federal, state, and international wage regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
Assist with bi-weekly U.S. multi-state payroll as needed.
What You'll Bring
5+ years of experience in international payroll/compliance.
Flexible international working approach across time zones
ADP payroll system experience required.
Exposure to global payroll system implementations a plus.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Positive written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Bachelor's degree required.
Compensation
The rate for this position generally is $90,000 - $120,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Similar positions located outside of New York will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by New York Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee's pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
