Title: Intern - Electronic Engineer I, Advanced Technology Engineering Team
OVERALL MISSION / PURPOSE
The intern will support the R&D team in power conversion design and verification activities, with a focus on circuit design assistance, validation, and engineering verification.
Job Descriptions
1. Design Support (Primary Focus)
Assist in switching mode power supply (SMPS) design activities, including:
Circuit schematic review and design support
Basic magnetic and thermal design calculations under guidance
Support schematic capture and PCB layout review in collaboration with CAD engineers
Perform circuit simulations, calculations, and design verification support (with supervision)
Learn and understand AI server and cloud power applications (PSU or board‑mount power)
2. Engineering Verification, Testing & Debugging (Primary Focus)
Support engineering verification testing activities for power products
Assist with power‑up, waveform measurement, and data collection at different design stages
Support failure analysis and debugging, documenting findings and corrective actions
Conduct required bench tests (manual testing and ATE support) under guidance
3. Design Documentation Support
Assist in checking customer specifications and technical requirements
Help generate and maintain design‑related documents, such as:
Compliance matrix
Test plans and test reports
Design review materials
Assist in component selection, sourcing, and evaluation
Provide technical support for production or engineering issues, under supervision
Support cross‑functional communication with manufacturing, purchasing, and quality teams
Requirements
Basic knowledge of power electronics and switching mode power supply concepts
Interest in server power, AI power, or board‑mount power applications
Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g. Simplis, PSIM, Mathcad) is a plus
Exposure to lab measurement tools (oscilloscope, power meter, electronic load) is preferred
Eager to learn, proactive, and a good team player
Good written and spoken Mandarin and English
