
Accounting Manager

The Financial Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the accounting process from accounts payable & general ledger to the preparation of the financial statements for SLI, IRM, Life and Light, LS, ST, GA, LV and Tecate Mexico corporations; and for supporting the Director of Finance and maintaining accurate financial records.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or equivalent) with at least 6 years overall accounting experience and 2 years of manufacturing environment experience.
CPA is desirable.
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
Strong excel skills required.
Valid driver’s license, current proof of insurance and clean driving record.
Responsibilities
Supervision and direction of the financial accounting group, including cost accounting, AP and AR.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies and governmental requirements
Ensure the company’s financial reporting is consistent with US GAAP
Review accounting internal controls periodically in order to prevent fraud
Oversee/prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for SLI, Tecate Mexico subsidiaries
Assist Controller in cash management and maintain daily bank registers
Schedule and wire transfer approved payments to vendors and subsidiaries
Lead and coordinate internal and external audits
Prepare quarterly sales tax returns and monthly estimates
Prepare annual 571-L Property tax return
Maintain/oversee fixed asset system and depreciate monthly
Prepare/review reports regarding results of operations
Calculate royalty expenses and submit for payment
Analyze production variances for SLI
Prepare monthly departmental profit & loss statements
Review Mexico maquiladora accounting transactions
Provide documentation to CPAs for corporate tax return preparation & estimates
Regular, reliable and predictable attendance
May perform other job related duties as assigned
May be assigned to any Scantibodies location for any period of time
May be required to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. This may include duties in another department or outside your normal scope of work.
Have weekly One on One meetings with direct reports
