Head Drama Director and Athletic Director
Position Purpose
The assistant drama director will work with a group of students who already attend Central DeWitt Community School District. They are responsible for selecting and training members of the drama events. They are also responsible for developing the skills necessary to perform. The assistant drama director will also be asked to assist in but not limited to organizing costumes, small group rehearsals, assisting in sound needs, lights, and planning with the Head Drama Director
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Director with all aspects of productions, including rehearsals and coordination with technical crew.
Provide mentorship and guidance to cast and crew members, helping them develop foundational skills in acting, stage presence, and ensemble work.
Attend all scheduled rehearsals, production meetings, and performances.
Communicate regularly with students, parents, and production team members.
Help create a supportive, inclusive, and disciplined environment for all students involved in the production.

Travel Requirements
Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards
Works in school building environments.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent required
Experience
Experience in theater performance or directing is desired, especially at the high school level.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently.Enthusiasm for mentoring young performers.
Organizational skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines and rehearsal schedules.
