Senior Security Engineer
who will take ownership of our entire security landscape and elevate it to the next level. This is a high-impact role where strategy meets hands‑on execution.

What You’ll Do
Own the Security Vision
Lead and continuously strengthen Velociti’s end‑to‑end security posture across cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid environments
Architect and implement controls across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, Salesforce, networks, and endpoints
Drive Zero Trust initiatives, including identity‑first security and least‑privilege access
Stay Ahead of Threats
Manage the full vulnerability lifecycle—from discovery to remediation
Monitor threat intelligence and proactively adjust defenses
Administer and optimize tools such as EDR, SIEM, DLP, and firewalls
Lead penetration testing efforts and partner with external assessors
Act as the primary responder for security incidents
Own investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery
Maintain and test incident response plans and playbooks
Conduct root cause analysis and implement long‑term fixes
Drive Governance & Compliance
Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures
Support frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, and SOC 2
Maintain risk registers, support audits, and track exceptions
Lead company‑wide security awareness initiatives
Secure Applications & SaaS
Partner with application teams to embed security into the SDLC
Administer Microsoft Defender, Purview, and Cloud App Security
Support Salesforce security architecture and governance
Strengthen Identity & Access
Oversee identity security across Entra ID, Active Directory, and SaaS apps
Enforce MFA, Conditional Access, and Privileged Identity Management
Conduct regular access reviews to ensure least privilege
Serve as a trusted advisor across IT and business teams
Partner on network security, vendor reviews, and architecture decisions
Deliver clear, actionable security insights to leadership
How You’ll Be Measured
Reduction in overall organizational risk
Timely remediation of vulnerabilities
Effectiveness of incident response
Strength and adoption of security policies
Clear, actionable reporting to leadership
What You Bring
Required
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field
5–8 years of experience in security engineering or operations
Deep expertise in Microsoft security ecosystem (Entra ID, Defender, Purview, Azure)
Strong knowledge of network security and Zero Trust architecture
Experience with SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management tools
Proven incident response leadership
Familiarity with frameworks like NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, SOC 2
Strong communication skills, both technical and non‑technical
Preferred
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, SC‑100, or similar
Experience securing Salesforce environments
Azure cloud security architecture experience
Exposure to AI security and governance (Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.)
Experience with DLP and data classification
Familiarity with enterprise firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto)
Background in regulated environments
On‑site role based in Riverside, MO
Standard office setting with extended computer use
Occasional after‑hours or weekend work during incidents or critical deployments
Participation in on‑call rotation for security coverage
