Maintenance Refrigeration Shift Team Leader
Location: Murfreesboro, TN, US, 37127
Purpose Statement
The Maintenance Refrigeration Team Leader works within the guidelines of authorized corporate policies, procedures and programs; this position is responsible for the direction of the Ammonia Refrigeration Operators, OSHA PSM & EPA RMP Programs, planning of all refrigeration activities supporting capital projects while ensuring the refrigeration system is maintained in a safe and efficient manner.
The Maintenance Refrigeration Team Leader ensures regulatory compliance through proper implementation of OSHA PSM and EPA RMP Programs and serves as the subject matter expert.
Supervises and coaches Refrigeration Associates while ensuring that all associates are trained according to the PSM/RMP mandates.
The Maintenance Refrigeration Team Leader leads the Refrigeration Team to ensure the refrigeration system is adequately maintained to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Supervises within Rich Products Core and Leadership Competencies and the Performance and Development Program.
Assists Department Manager on keeping department within budget.
Works with the Maintenance Manager, other Team Leaders and all Department Managers for continuous improvement and ongoing success of the facility.
The Maintenance Refrigeration Team Leader facilitates all required regulatory audits (PSM Compliance, Mechanical Integrity, NDT, etc.).
Accurately and timely reports maintenance metrics for the facility. Seeks to exceed targets by adopting best practice principals and taking an active role to continuously improve department performance.
Owns the capital planning process and manages capital projects related to the Ammonia Refrigeration System.
Assists in the contact of vendors for frequency services such as meters, scales, and temperature control PMs.
Performs root cause analysis for equipment failure.
Works directly with Process Improvement Teams and assists in preparation and execution of team charters.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
7 years Ammonia Refrigeration System Experience
7 years’ experience in a leadership capacity in a maintenance environment
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related fields preferred; or a combination of experience and education
At least 15 years work experience (preferably in a food processing facility) in a maintenance capacity.
RETA Operator and/or PSM, RMP Certification, HAZWOPER Certification
Familiarity with Inventory and Preventive Maintenance programs
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Maximo, SAP or similar work order tracking programs
Current Compensation: $87,614.00-$118,536.00
