Manufacturing Engineer
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement manufacturing processes that drive production performance and operational excellence. The engineer will work with Production Operators/Supervisors, Manufacturing, Quality, and Industrial Engineers, and will interface with Program Management and Design Engineering teams.
What You Will Be Doing
Provide technical support to shop floor personnel.
Facilitate data reviews to drive HPU and DPU reduction efforts.
Develop and manage manufacturing processes and detailed work instructions.
Implement engineering design changes.
Support area-wide process improvement initiatives.
Utilize lean manufacturing techniques to reduce costs and improve production yields.
This position may require up to 10% overtime annually in support of program execution.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to obtain a secret security clearance; must be a U.S. Citizen.
Desired Skills
Provide engineering solutions to medium complexity problems.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Wire Harness Assembly or Electronic Assembly experience.
Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Security Clearance Statement
This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.
Work Location & Schedule
Onsite full-time: The work will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Schedule: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
