Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including assessment, monitoring, medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, and patient safety interventions.

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans; monitor changes in patient conditions and respond promptly.

Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record; communicate changes to families and staff; provide patient and family teaching.

Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; monitor for adverse reactions and ensure proper conflicts of care are addressed.

Support unit operations as assigned, including occasional charge nurse duties to help with patient flow and staffing coordination.

Utilize available tele-intensivist support to inform clinical decisions and coordinate complex care needs; pediatric admissions may occur as part of the med-surg caseload.

Requirements
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (location not specified).

BLS and PALS certifications required.

Ability to work nights in a fast-paced medical-surgical setting; comfortable with typical patient ratios and tele-support integration.

Willingness to perform occasional charge nurse duties as part of the assignment.

Experience in medical-surgical or acute care nursing is typical for this role; competencies in caring for a broad age range may be needed.
