Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer with a strong background in industrial automation to support the installation, commissioning, and handover of automated systems. The successful candidate will have solid PLC programming experience, strong electrical knowledge, and a proven track record working with automation equipment in industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
Commission and support automated systems, ensuring they operate safely, reliably, and in line with project specifications.
Program, configure, test, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems.
Install, commission, and validate automation equipment on-site.
Diagnose electrical and control system faults and implement effective corrective actions.
Work closely with project engineers, electricians, and operations teams during installation and commissioning phases.
Support reliability improvements by identifying recurring issues and recommending system enhancements.
Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards, regulations, and company procedures.
Produce and maintain commissioning documentation, test records, and technical reports.
Required Skills and Experience
Proven experience as a Commissioning Engineer within the automation sector.
Strong PLC programming experience.
Solid electrical knowledge, supported by relevant qualifications or training.
Experience with the installation and commissioning of automation equipment.
Demonstrated experience in reliability engineering or system performance improvement.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control documentation.
Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work effectively on‑site and independently.
Hands‑on experience with Siemens PLCs.
Hands‑on experience with Allen‑Bradley (Rockwell Automation) PLCs.
Personal Attributes
Methodical and detail‑oriented approach to commissioning activities.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
