These are supported by Transamerica Corporate, which includes Finance, People and Places, General Counsel, Risk, Internal Audit, Strategy and Development, and Corporate Affairs, which covers Communications, Brand, and Government and Policy Affairs.* JD from an ABA accredited law school, LLM a plus* Two years of relevant legal experience* Licensed or eligible to practice in the applicable state* Ability to effectively communicate, both written and oral, with the intended audience* Ability to exercise sound judgment in a fast paced environment* Ability to exercise agility and adaptability in providing legal advice* Comfortable in a rapidly changing corporate environment* Solid understanding of life insurance taxation, specifically, IRC Code Section 7702 and other related sections and regulations* Ability to analyze IRS guidance and advise the Company regarding impacts of new or pending legislation.* Focuses on creating an environment of honesty, inclusion and respect for others, is open to and champions differing ideas and perspectives, and collaborates in a fully inclusive manner* Understanding of the tax impact of our various financial products on individuals, trusts, estates, and entities.* Understanding of information reporting and withholding requirements related to our products.* Proficient using MS Office* Experience with life insurance taxation* Financial services or insurance industry experience preferred* The Salary for this position generally ranges between $140,000 - $160,000 annually. ***Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including***qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs.
