Summary
Under the responsibility of the Manager, the Transportation Supervisor / Supervisor Logistics is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and overseeing daily logistics operations, providing coaching, development, and training to staff members. The candidate must recommend improvements to facilities, equipment, machinery, and processes and ensure staff performance meets business objectives.

Essential Functions

Supervise, coordinate, and oversee day‑to‑day logistics operations.

Plan and review, in collaboration with the Logistics Manager, all logistics processes to ensure they meet company standards and customer service specifications.

Establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate activities of the workers to ensure optimal shift/team logistics.

Accountable for site Key Performance Indications (KPI).

Collaborate with customers on all aspects of operations.

Meet regularly with team members collectively and individually to monitor progress, track performance, coach, and counsel, and recognize successes.

Promote a diversity and inclusion initiative, cultivating team spirit and seeking opportunities to improve internal processes.

Perform performance evaluations, recommend awards/merit increases, and address performance problems through corrective action and discipline.

Understand labor agreements and maintain positive labor relations.

Implement health, safety, and security initiatives and ensure adherence to company rules and policies.

Provide orientation for employees and Lead Hands, supplying necessary information, technology, and materials.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

One year or more of experience in transportation, warehouse, or distribution preferred.

Zero to one year of direct supervisory/leadership experience required.

Compensation Information
Salary: $65,000 – $70,000 per year, paid twice a month.

Position is exempt. Potential eligibility for annual bonus, commission, and/or long‑term incentive plan depending on performance.
