Overview
As a Recruiter Specialist at Joule (a division or System One), you will play a vital role in driving our success by sourcing, recruiting, and placing top talent in the scientific, healthcare, and clinical fields. You will leverage your knowledge and skills to build strong relationships with candidates, identify qualified individuals, and ensure a seamless recruitment process.
Essential Functions
Sourcing and Recruitment
Utilize various tools and platforms to identify and attract qualified scientific, healthcare, and clinical candidates across various industries.
Conduct targeted searches on job boards, social media, and internal databases to discover potential candidates.
Proactively source candidates through cold calling, networking, and industry events.
Candidate Evaluation and Screening
Assess and evaluate the candidate’s qualifications and fit for open positions.
Conduct phone screenings to assess basic qualifications, interest, and salary expectations.
Schedule and coordinate interviews with candidates, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
Interview Preparation and Coordination
Provide candidates comprehensive information about the company, role, and interview process.
Provide interview materials, information packets, and scheduling logistics.
Candidate Debrief and Feedback
Conduct post-interview debriefs with candidates to gather feedback and assess interest.
Provide candidates with timely feedback on their interviews, regardless of outcome.
Offer Extension and Negotiation
Extend offers to qualified candidates and negotiate salary terms in line with market standards and company guidelines.
Ensure all pre‑hire requirements, including references and background checks, are completed before onboarding.
Pipeline Management and Relationship Building
Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future client needs.
Build and nurture long‑term relationships with contractors and candidates, fostering trust and loyalty.
Seek out referrals and industry insights from candidates to generate new business opportunities.
Client Support and Business Development
Collaborate with the team to generate leads and market intelligence to support new client development efforts.
Performance and KPI Achievement
Consistently achieve or exceed weekly key performance indicators (KPIs).
Secondary Functions
May participate in training and development programs.
Stay updated on industry trends and recruiting best practices.
Lead special recruiting projects.
May help train and mentor new hires.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in a business or science field (may be optional with extensive technical recruiting experience).
2-5 years of experience in an agency/staffing role, preferable in scientific/clinical or engineering discipline (biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device).
Prior experience in a full‑cycle recruiting role (ideally within an agency setting).
Demonstrated success in a productivity‑focused recruiting environment.
Skills Required
Proficiency with various applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software.
Experience with social media platforms and tools for sourcing candidates.
Ability to use online research tools and databases to identify potential candidates.
Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to secure offers and close deals.
Excellent problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills to address challenges in the recruiting process.
Adaptability and flexibility to handle changing priorities and unexpected situations.
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness in all recruiting tasks.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
