Job Summary

The Layout Technician is responsible for reading blueprints and marking the correct placement of clips on metal components along the conrac line. This role ensures accuracy in layout to support downstream production processes. The operator must maintain a high level of attention to detail while keeping pace with a fast-moving production line.
Key Responsibilities

Review and interpret blueprints and shop drawings to determine layout requirements
Mark clip and component placement on metal materials using chalk or similar tools
Verify all markings meet measurement and quality standards
Maintain workflow efficiency to support continuous production
Communicate any discrepancies in drawings or materials to leadership
Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Meet or exceed daily production targets

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced production setting
Good communication and teamwork skills
Manufacturing experience preferred
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a production environment
