The Medical Assistant
Pain Management supports providers in delivering care to patients managing acute and chronic pain conditions. This role assists with clinical procedures, patient coordination, and ensuring a smooth care experience.
Location: Quincy, IL Pay Range: $16.12 - $24.18 per hour | Based on Relevant Experience Schedule: Full-Time, Monday
Thursday, 8:00 a.m.
5:00 p.m. Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (some variability based on departmental needs)
Primary Responsibilities
Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical history
Assist providers with pain management procedures and treatments
Support medication workflows, including prior authorizations and documentation
Coordinate referrals, imaging, and follow-up care
Educate patients on treatment plans and next steps as directed
Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in EPIC

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Medical Assistant certification preferred, but not required
Previous clinical experience preferred, especially in a procedural or specialty setting
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and patient care skills
