Aviation Parts Assembler
PrideStaff, a firm specializing in recruiting for Central Oregon businesses, is seeking a qualified Aviation Parts Assembler for a Bend, Oregon operations team. As an Assembler, you'll read shop orders, follow production work instruction, position and align parts in specified relationship to each other using hand or power tools. Document and Identify assemblies and parts inventory. Essential functions in this role include:
Assemble using hand tools and power tools
Perform intermediate assembly tasks such as potting, engraving, cleaning, dipping and marking parts and assemblies.
Operate standard test equipment such as ohmmeter, voltmeter and conduct operational tests on product.
Reads instrument dial or scope that indicates resistance, capacitance, continuity and wave pattern or defect.
Compare instrument reading with standard and reject defective units
Record test and assembly build information.
Notify management of any conditions felt as being undesirable or nonconforming to product specification and any procedures that cannot be performed as documented
Must possess a high degree of dexterity and eye coordination in the performance of essential functions
Associates must have a mechanical aptitude with an attention to detail
Must be able to lift/move 25 pounds
Responsibilities:
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Perform shipping and receiving responsibilities.
Maintain acceptable organization and cleanliness in work area
Identify and label inventory receiving
Notify management of low inventory and supplies.
Maintain orderly work center condition at end of shift (Totes covered, work bench lights off, etc)
Qualifications: This position requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED and experience in an assembly environment. Other requirements include:
Demonstrated verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills, to provide for respectful work-related communications with peers and personnel from other departments (direct contact and use of electronic systems)
Must possess a high degree of dexterity and eye coordination, to allow manipulation of buttons, switches, hand tools, products and parts, in the performance of essential functions
Associates must have a mechanical aptitude with an attention to detail
Must be able to lift/move 25 pounds
Desirable Qualifications :
Previous assembly experience (Electronics preferred)
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Previous experience with quality & workmanship standards
Available to work weekdays (30+ hours per week)
