Assembler

The Assembler position performs manual labor along a production line or in production cells assembling or disassembling various component parts related to hard goods athletic equipment.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
Following work instructions/specifications to determine required assembly, exterior finish on a product, and any special options.
Checking immediate assembly area for adequate supplies of sub-assemblies, parts, and fasteners for the particular assembly.
Requesting supplies through appropriate channels.
Checking power and hand tools and safety stops for correct operation.
Assembling components per work instructions.
Examining assembly and connections for correct fit, fastening parts, and sub-assemblies following work instructions/specifications.
Packing finished products into designated cartons and inserting or applying any required labels, tags, decals, and/or instructions.
Resolving minor assembly and packing problems.
Reporting any assembly problems/issues to the supervisor for evaluation and resolution.
Providing information and assisting with the completion of assembly production reports.
Maintaining clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
Operating and using all equipment following standard work instructions and operating procedures.
Observing all safety rules and regulations.
Exercising care and good judgment at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.
Adhering to all company policies, procedures, rules, and BRG Code of Conduct.
Practicing good housekeeping by keeping work area, neighboring areas, and aisles clean and accessible.
Performing other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
Ability to effectively relate with others and cooperate as a team member.
Ability to perform essential functions and responsibilities of the job with some supervision.
Must be flexible.
Careful attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group situations within the organization.
Ability to rely on judgment for personal safety regarding work.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Physical demands include:
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds at a time.
Sufficient hand, eye, arm, and finger dexterity to assemble helmets.
Must wear safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas.
Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking while also performing repetitive tasks.
Prolonged periods of bending and/or twisting throughout a work shift.
