PRN Rehab Tech

Friendship is seeking a PRN Rehab Tech to join our Richfield Health & Rehab team, located in Salem, VA. The Rehab Tech provides support to therapy staff in a variety of rehab, administrative, and CNA related tasks; implements specific procedures and programs designated by facility processes; coordinates work within the department, as well as with other departments; reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responds to inquiries or requests for information related to resident care; and assists the immediate supervisor with tasks to support department operations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Transporting residents to/from corresponding rooms in order to participate in therapy services.
Assist resident with walking, repositioning, sitting, standing, with or without the use of medical equipment and toileting as needed in order to participate in therapy services.
Report any injuries, skin conditions or other changes to residents' condition or behavior to supervisor immediately.
Attend and participate in continuing education programs designed to keep you abreast of changes in your profession, as well as to maintain your license on a current status (CNA licensure required).
Assist in various administrative tasks designated by direct supervisor or other therapy staff members to aide in the day-to-day functions of the therapy department (these may include but are not limited to, obtaining insurance verifications/authorizations, obtaining physician signatures, ordering DME and other therapy supplies, book keeping, managing phone calls, etc).
Assist in maintaining and clean and organized work environment, sanitizing when needed and maintaining safe operating function of all therapy equipment
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
BLS preferred
Experience in long-term care/rehabilitation facility preferred
