Denester

The Denester plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our egg production facilities. This position is responsible for preparing the site prior to startup, setting up carton lanes, and maintaining carton quality. By ensuring operational efficiency and adhering to GMPs/SQF guidance, the Denester contributes to the organization's goal of producing high-quality eggs while maintaining safety and operational standards.
Essential Job Functions

Ensure proper loading and feeding of cartons into the machine.
Perform carton quality control by identifying and removing damaged or improperly labeled cartons.
Clear carton jams and other infeed errors.
Operate the denester Human-Machine Interface (HMI).
Empty leaker egg tanks using a pump.
Manage super jumbo and peewee egg trays.
Monitor egg conveyor for significant gaps in egg flow, indicating potential issues.
Supply lines with cartons from the dry dock.
Ensure daters are functioning correctly.
Maintain cleanliness of egg lanes from the carton feed area to the packing station.
Manage denatured egg barrels, ensuring they are in good order and replaced as needed.
Conduct product changeovers as directed by the production schedule.
Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and perform duties requiring reaching, bending, twisting, and lifting above the head.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in egg production or a similar industry.
Additional certifications or training relevant to machinery operation or quality control.
Varied experience in farm work or a related field.
The Denester position requires working in a production facility environment with varying climate conditions. The role involves standing for long periods, physical activity, and handling materials up to 50 lbs. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
