CNC Swiss Lathe Operator
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Swiss Lathe Operator. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced environment, performing crucial tasks to ensure the efficient operation of our CNC machinery.
Responsibilities:
Retrieve raw materials from the staging area.
Load raw materials, including bar stock and various types of metals, into the CNC machine.
Set up and operate a cell with three CNC machines.
Run the first piece and perform 100% quality control (QC) on the part.
Conduct production runs and perform QC on one part every hour.
Execute approximately three machine setups per day.
Utilize mics, calipers, gauges, and various profiling tools to ensure parts meet specifications.
Maintain precision with a tolerance of +/-.005.
Edit programs using G&M code on Fanuc controls when necessary.
Essential Skills:
Proficiency in blueprint reading and CNC troubleshooting.
Experience with changeovers and lathe operations.
Three years of experience in CNC setup and operation on lathes.
Three years of experience with print usage.
Ability to use live tooling and G&M code for editing.
Quality control experience with micrometers and calipers.
Job Type & Location:
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Porte, IN.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
