As a new Full Time Raw Ingredient Receiver at Barrett Petfood, you can expect to engage in a variety of essential tasks daily. You will inspect incoming shipments of raw ingredients, ensuring they meet our quality standards. You'll utilize equipment to unload trucks and accurately record ingredient specifications. Additionally, you will maintain an organized inventory and perform regular checks on the storage areas to ensure freshness and compliance with safety regulations.
Your schedule will run Monday through Friday, 6PM - 230AM, allowing you to enjoy a stable work-life balance. Collaborating closely with team members, you will foster a customer-focused environment while contributing to innovative processes that uphold our integrity and excellence.
Day To Day Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operation of the Meat room.
Train staff in proper workflow and sanitation procedures
Enter batch information into Plex Software and manage inventory on a daily basis to ensure product is in stock and accurately counted
Mix ingredients together and grind blocks of meat into meat grinder
Add oils as needed per customer specifications
Receive in Trucks and enter inventory into computer
Unload frozen meat pallets into freezer for storage using forklift
Clean meat room equipment throughout the day and at the end of runs to ensure sanitation of equipment is up to standards
Work with a team to ensure products are safely processed in a timely manner
