Material Handler
The Material Handler moves, stages, and prepares inventory and materials to support installation teams in a large warehouse environment. This role uses pallet jacks and hand tools to move materials, performs inventory counts, and completes basic documentation to ensure accurate and timely material flow.
Responsibilities
Move and stage inventory and materials throughout the warehouse using a pallet jack and other material handling equipment.
Prepare and organize materials so they are ready and accessible for installers and other project team members.
Perform regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
Complete basic inventory documentation and record material movements as required.
Use hand and power tools to assist with basic assembly, repair, or adjustment of materials or equipment as needed.
Support general production and construction-related tasks in an industrial setting.
Assist with installation activities by locating, moving, and positioning materials according to project requirements.
Follow quality assurance guidelines to ensure materials are handled, stored, and staged correctly.
Perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting, carrying, and moving materials for extended periods.
Read and follow basic instructions, drawings, or blueprints when assisting with assembly or installation tasks.
Troubleshoot basic mechanical or material handling issues and escalate more complex problems when necessary.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with warehouse safety procedures.
Communicate effectively with installers, technicians, and supervisors to coordinate material needs and priorities.
Demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance to support project schedules and daily operations.
Essential Skills
Experience with material handling in a warehouse, industrial, construction, or production environment.
Ability to operate a pallet jack and move materials safely and efficiently.
Comfort with extensive physical labor, including heavy lifting and working on your feet for 810 hours per day.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with basic mechanical components.
Hands-on experience using hand and power tools for general labor, assembly, or repair tasks.
Background in general production, construction, carpentry, industrial work, or similar trades.
Ability to perform basic inventory tasks, including counts and documentation.
Familiarity with reading and following simple blueprints, drawings, or work instructions.
Basic troubleshooting skills for mechanical or material handling issues.
Strong reliability and consistent attendance.
Ability to work safely in a large, fast-paced warehouse environment with many moving parts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working on large-scale projects, including prior work at major e-commerce or distribution facilities.
Exposure to installation, maintenance technician work, or industrial repair tasks.
Experience supporting construction or installation teams in an active project environment.
Background in quality assurance, ensuring materials and assemblies meet specified standards.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including advisors, technicians, and external service providers.
Willingness to be considered for travel opportunities based on performance and reliability.

Work Environment
This role is based inside a large, active warehouse facility with many moving parts, where you work closely with project advisors, technicians, and service teams. The environment is industrial and fast paced, with frequent movement of materials and equipment. You typically work Monday through Friday, with occasional work on Saturdays, for approximately 810 hours per day. The position involves extensive physical activity, including walking, standing, lifting, and moving materials throughout the shift. Required attire includes steel-toe footwear, jeans, and a work shirt, suitable for an industrial warehouse setting.
