Job Duties
The Criminal Division Deputy Clerk is assigned operational responsibilities in a high volume, fast-paced office with frequent deadlines. This position ensures the court's instructions are executed and legal documents are prepared with accuracy and in accordance with state and local policies. The deputy clerk will participate in a scheduled rotation of court support, office, and counter duties and must be committed to providing excellent customer service to a diverse population.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Deputy Clerk in this position performs a wide range of clerical duties in processing court cases and paperwork. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, entering data into an automated case management system, imaging case files, scheduling matters for court, preparing correspondence and legal documents, updating case information and assessing fines and costs, issuing subpoenas, assisting the public on the telephone and at the counter, filing court documents, compiling/checking court dockets, assisting judges in the courtroom, issuing jail cards, issuing bench warrants, and interacting with court stakeholder groups. Must be excellent at multi-tasking and be open to assuming additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
