Aircraft Quality Inspector - Mechanical A220
PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Quality Inspector - Mechanical A220 in Mobile, AL. The Mechanical Quality Inspector is responsible for the execution and confirmation of quality inspections as part of the production process with an emphasis on the aircraft structural assemblies and components.
Your challenges include performing all defined quality inspections up to product delivery, red flagging all deviations which occur on product, equipment, and tools, and verifying that the industrial environment, facilities, hardware, and tools respond to the operations & safety requirements. You will execute technical inspections in the production process of the aircraft, prepare and perform visual, incoming, first article, final inspections during aircraft manufacture for compliance with design specifications, customers, and certification requirements, and document the technical inspections performed in the FLEXNET/NCMS/SAP based IT system.
To succeed in this role, you should have a high school diploma or GED, 5 years of experience in an aviation company with an emphasis on mechanical and/or structural components and assemblies, knowledge of Quality Management Systems, knowledge of drawing systems, inspection plans, and inspection coordination, knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, and tools used in production line, handling and use of inspection tools for length measuring techniques (mechanical, electrical), and relevant Airline/Aviation experience is desirable.
Preferred qualifications include an FAA Airframe & Powerplant License, an A&P license including inspection authorization, experience in a Quality Inspector position, and citizenship that allows you to work in the US without current or future need for visa sponsorship.
