Shop Assistant
Marous Brothers Construction (MBC) is seeking a self-motivated Shop Assistant for our Shop Facility! MBC is recognized as one of the leading construction firms in the Midwest, offering integrated services for complete construction solutions.
Join Marous Brothers Construction as a Full-Time Shop Assistant and play a key role in keeping our jobsites running smoothly. Based out of our shop and supporting active project sites, this hands-on, onsite position offers the opportunity to be a critical part of our operations by delivering materials, maintaining equipment, and supporting daily field needs.
As a Shop Assistant, you will support daily shop and facilities operations by safely delivering and distributing materials, products, and equipment to active job sites. This role requires the ability to self-load trucks and trailers, properly secure loads, and assist with maintaining vehicles and equipment. You will report daily to the Shop and Facilities Manager to review the "game plan" and maintain a written running list of responsibilities. Key duties include making job site deliveries; loading and unloading trucks; checking tools in and out of the shop; servicing gas-powered equipment as it moves in and out of the shop; washing vehicles; and assisting with meeting setup and tear-down.
This position is ideal for an energetic, forward-thinking, and results-oriented individual with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a professional presence. You will help keep the shop and surrounding outdoor areas organized, swept, and clean while performing trash removal, snow removal, basic janitorial duties, and debris cleanup along fence lines and exterior areas. The role requires a self-directed, well-organized team player who can work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced construction environment and is willing to assist with additional duties as assigned.
