Custom Equipment Machine Builder

The Custom Equipment Machine Builder is responsible for assembling, building, and integrating industrial machinery, primarily focusing on palletizers and related automated equipment. This role involves working with detailed mechanical drawings, schematics, and build prints. A strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and hands-on experience with tools, machine components, and industrial assemblies are essential.
Responsibilities

Read, interpret, and follow engineering prints, mechanical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
Assemble custom palletizer systems and automated mechanical equipment from the ground up.
Fit, align, and install mechanical components including frames, conveyors, pneumatics, guarding, motors, and gearboxes.
Conduct mechanical setups, adjustments, and alignments to meet functional requirements.
Essential Skills

Experience with low voltage, hand tools, and wire pulling.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
Hands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
Mechanical mindset with skills in welding, schematic interpretation, machine building, fabrication, and assembly.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with diesel mechanics.

Work Environment

The work environment is in custom manufacturing with shifts available on both days and nights. The 3rd shift operates from 10:30 pm to 7:00 am, Sunday night through Thursday night. Training will occur on the day shift, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenfield, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
