
CNC Machinist - 3-Day Work Week

General Machinist
As a General Machinist, you will support the machine shop by operating a variety of machine tools. This role includes working on CNC lathes, vertical machining centers, horizontal machining centers, boring bars, and manual lathes. Equipment you may operate includes Mazak, OKK, DMG, and Samsung machines. You will play a key role in supporting the broader machine shop by flexing to different areas as business needs require.
Our shift opportunities:
2nd Shift: Monday through Wednesday 3:30PM - 3:30AM (three 12-hour shifts, paid for 40 hours)
2nd Shift: Monday through Thursday 3:30PM - 2:00AM
Essential Functions
Proficient in operating CNC machining equipment, including vertical machining centers, horizontal machining centers, and lathes.
Demonstrate the ability to operate multiple machine tools and float to meet business needs.
Proficient in performing required setups, reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications, and using close?tolerance measuring instruments necessary to perform job duties.
Proficient in machining various styles of parts while maintaining close tolerances.
Conduct in?process and final quality checks to ensure parts meet dimensional, visual, and functional requirements.
Follow established quality standards, work instructions, and inspection plans to ensure consistent results.
Must provide sufficient basic hand tools to properly perform the duties of the position.
Exercise care with preventive maintenance on tools and equipment assigned as part of the position's responsibilities.
Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
A technical degree/certificate in machinery or 4-5 years of related experience.
18 years old at the time of hire to operate equipment

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. regularly, or more occasionally.
Walk, stand, or otherwise move about continuously.
Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards which may require personal protective equipment.
Grasps items and performs keyboarding for the occasional operation of a computer.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
COMPENSATION:
The approximate pay range for this position is $34.01 + $2.25 shift differential paid hourly. Please note that the pay range is a good faith estimate at the time of posting and may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, and geographic location.
