Sterile Processing Technician - GI Services (Travel)
We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPD/CST) for a GI Services assignment in Hazel Crest, IL - just 30 minutes from Chicago. This is a structured department with consistent workflow and shared weekend rotation.

Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience
First-time travelers: Accepted upon review
Required Certification
SPD (CRCST/CBSPD) or
CST
Core Responsibilities
Decontamination
Running washers
Sterilization
Tray assembly
This is a hands-on role requiring strong workflow efficiency and attention to detail.
Equipment / Systems
SPM (Sterile Processing Management system)
Floating
None
Orientation
1 full week on the unit
Scheduling & Call
Weekend Rotation
1 weekend per month
Saturday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (scheduled shift)
On-call: Saturday 3:30 PM - Monday 7:00 AM
30-minute response time required
Team members participate equally in weekend work and call rotation.
Additional Notes
Up to 7 days RTO can be approved
Block scheduling will NOT be accommodated
Additional Policies
Scrub color: Procedural
No artificial fingernails or extenders
Natural nail tips must be less than
inch long when providing direct patient care
