POSITION: Welder/Fabricator DAY SHIFT: Monday - Thursday, 6:30 am - 5:00 pm (OT Friday as needed) PAY RATE: $21.65 - 24.00+ per hour (DOE) + Full Benefits Package LOCATION: Huron, SD
Summary Of Responsibilities
Responsible for the safe and efficient fabrication of steel products. The Welder I is an entry-level welding position, with all work being completed with close supervision.

Able to Learn company policies and procedures.
Able to work on basic manufacturing assignments that have set standards.
Able to follow detailed instructions while observed closely by supervisor or lead.
Able to problem solve simple and non-complex issues that need little judgement.
Able to perform measurements within specified tolerances.
Learn to read blueprints.
Ability to work with others.
Ability to work safely and accurately.
Prompt and dependable attendance.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills And Qualities
Able to perform simple flat and horizontal welds and flat groove welds.
Able to Fit and weld subassemblies with tack or spot weld.
Able to perform measurements within specified tolerances.
Exhibit knowledge of material identification, equipment utilization and welding equipment set-up and maintenance.
General knowledge of equipment and operations.
Basic understanding of Weld symbols.
Understand and follow oral and written directions.
Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric).
Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace.
Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.
The trait of being dependable and trustworthy.
Education And Work Experience
High School diploma or GED preferred.
0-1 years of welding experience preferred.
