Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Supervises door shop employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment.
Shift:
Monday-Thursday 4 p.m. - 2:30 a.m.
Pay: $65,000/year
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Must be able to improve working conditions (safety, quality, productivity, and cost) and increase employee skills and capabilities.
Prepare activity plans for the aforementioned conditions.
Assist in improving a system of production control, standard operating procedure, safety, quality control and performance management.
Plans and assigns work and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
Manages departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to manager.
Supervises the personnel involved in the above processes.
Performs accident investigations and ensures the proper paperwork is completed.
Maintains proper inventory levels.
Tracks absenteeism and time-keeping.
Manages department priorities.
Provides employee coaching and development.
Resolves employee issues through problem resolution.
Qualifications
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrate ability to lead people and get results through others.
Strong multi-tasking skills and able to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to plan ahead and prepare action plans to achieve results.
Experience with supervising, disciplining, motivating and training employees.
Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Attention to detail and quality orientation.
EDUCATION
Two years of college or vocational training; or GED/high school diploma and related experience.
EXPERIENCE
Warehouse, production (manufacturing), or logistics experience.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Must have a valid motor vehicle operator's license.
